A road connecting Kundang to Batu Arang will be ready in six months.

Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai launched the ground-breaking ceremony in Kampung Baru Kundang on Sunday. He said the 3km road costing RM4,2mil would cut travelling time from Kundang to Batu Arang.

“It will take 10 minutes using the new road instead of 30 now.

Kuang assemblyman Abdul Shukur Idrus and Selayang MCA youth chief Lee Li Yew were also present at the ground-breaking ceremony.

Kundang MIC branch chairman Murugiah Papoo, 47, said the shortcut would enable residents to travel to Kuala Selangor in less than half an hour.
